The countdown to our 100th episode continues! Today we’re going in a bit of a different direction and are talking about teachers becoming business owners. It’s safe to say that most teacherpreneurs never imagined that they would one day become business owners, so it’s always interesting to hear how it happens.

So often, teachers are taught by outside professional companies who have absolutely zero background in, or experience with, teaching. That’s why it’s so incredible that we are in the midst of a movement of teachers taking back the reins of being the experts in teaching.

To celebrate this movement, we’re sharing a list of 20 teacher businesses that we admire. Many of these names you may have heard before, or even heard on this podcast. However, there’s likely a few who will be new to you!

We want you to know that it’s totally possible for you to create a business of your own, if you have the desire to do so. You can look outside of teaching to find other ways to fulfill you. There’s endless opportunities for business ideas, and they go beyond starting a TpT store.

At the same time, starting a business isn’t for everyone and we’re not here to tell you that you should or shouldn’t start a business. One thing is for sure. When you can learn and buy from a fellow teacher, it’s such a great way to rejuvenate the profession as a whole.
