We’re going back…

As the school year trudges on, many of you are experiencing the dreaded “pivoting” in and out of a variety of classroom teaching scenarios. Some of you are F2F with 25+ students in a class and no social distancing. Others of you are heading into hybrid for the first time. And some of us have been jostled around over and over and have hit (or passed) a breaking point.

Brave New Teaching is hosting an exclusive episode that aims to share as many teacher voices as possible. We want to create an episode that captures the raw, unfiltered experiences of teachers across the globe and give you an outlet to let the world know what this experience is like for you. So, instead of “I wish my teacher knew…” , it’s time to turn the tables and let teachers share what life is really like in the 2020/21 school year. We invite you to leave a message with just your first name (or no name if you’d like) and share what your teaching life has felt like that the rest of the world hasn’t seemed to understand during this school year. We encourage you to offer your true experience, whatever that might be. Follow the prompts below and click record when you are ready. Give us what you’ve got in 90 seconds and we’ll try to include as many voicemails as possible in the episode.

Prompts for your voicemail:

“My name is _________ (this is optional) and I’m a teacher in _______________ and I’ve been teaching for ______________ years.

  • I wish my students knew…

  • I wish my administration knew…

  • I wish my students’ parents knew…

  • I wish the media knew…

  • I wish my community knew…

  • I wish people knew…

We will not share your name or email with anyone. We ask for your email should we need to contact you about the audio quality or for a potential follow-up interview!
